SC Housing's commitment to safe, decent and affordable housing
As we welcome the rejuvenating season of spring, a time of growth and renewal, we embark on a journey into 2024 with a sense of optimism at SC Housing. Spring is a season that symbolizes new beginnings, and much like the blooming flowers and flourishing plants, we believe in the transformative power of having a home.
In the spirit of growth and maturation, a home offers individuals and families the foundation they need to thrive. It goes beyond providing shelter; it becomes a space for joy, safety, and the realization of dreams. Just as plants need the nurturing embrace of spring to reach their full potential, people require the stability and security that a home provides to become all they are meant to be.
As we reflect on the impact of affordable housing, we hear stories that touch the heart. Families express the happiness of having a place they can truly call their own—a haven where they can create memories and build a brighter future. Affordable housing is not merely a structure; it's the cornerstone of hope for individuals seeking a fresh start and a better tomorrow.
Affordable housing is a catalyst for positive change in communities and the key to shaping brighter destinies. Looking forward, SC Housing is dedicated to evolving our programs and fostering collaborations that address the diverse housing needs of individuals and families across the Palmetto State.
Together, let's embrace the spirit of growth, resilience, and meaningful advancements in housing throughout 2024. Stay tuned for updates, success stories, and insights into the initiatives that will shape the housing landscape in South Carolina in the coming year. Thank you for being an integral part of the SC Housing community as we work toward a future where every South Carolinian has access to quality housing.

SC Housing participates in South Carolina Association of Counties' Counties Connect
SC Housing's deputy director of programs, Marni Holloway, took part in the South Carolina Association of Counties legislative action day, Counties Connect in late February.
Holloway participated in a panel discussion focused on workforce housing opportunities throughout the state.
Counties Connect provided a great opportunity for county leaders to connect with their local delegation members as well as leaders from various state and regional agencies and programs to advocate for their counties. Holloway was in good company as staff from the South Carolina Department of Commence, SC Council on Competitiveness, Beaufort Jasper Housing and others provided informative presentations or participated in panel discussions.
