Teresa Moore
Director of Organizational Services

In January 2021, Teresa Moore was named director of human resources at the SC State Housing Finance & Development Authority (SC Housing), where she provides leadership and oversight for human resources. In this role, Moore is responsible for leading all of the agency’s HR functions. She serves as a contributing member of the agency's leadership team, providing professional advice to the executive director, senior directors, middle management and effective guidance to all employees via agency support systems and services.

In November 2022, Moore was named the director of organizational services for SC Housing, adding communications and research to her leadership portfolio. 

Prior to joining SC Housing, Moore served as the director of HR of Strategy Alignment and Integration at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, she drove the development, alignment, integration, and execution of strategic HR initiatives across the university, supporting 12,000 employees and 28,000 students.

The majority of her HR career was spent at Yazaki, a Japanese automotive company near Detroit, where she served as the Senior HR Manager for all talent management strategies and initiatives, impacting 80,000 employees throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.

Earlier in her career, she spent 13 years as a Broadcast Journalist and News Producer for ABC News, and an independent TV/Radio Station in Detroit.

Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Tennessee State University and a master's degree in performance improvement and instructional design (HRD) from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Moore was born and raised in Michigan and is married with two children and five grandchildren. She loves all sports, music, theatre, and art.
