Preservation & Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE)

SC Housing has submitted an application to compete for PRICE funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of PRICE is to preserve and revitalize manufactured housing and manufactured housing communities. Congress has authorized HUD to implement the PRICE program using the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) statutory and regulatory framework for this first-of-its-kind initiative. $210 million has been made available for the PRICE MAIN competition, of which, SC Housing has requested $10 million in funding. Award announcements are expected late fall 2024.

Eligible Uses of Funds Include, but Are Not Limited To:

  • Repair, revitalization, or replacement of manufactured housing; 
  • Development or improvement of infrastructure that supports manufactured housing units; 
  • Land and site acquisition; 
  • Resident and community services including relocation assistance and eviction prevention; 
  • Environmental improvements and activities to increase resilience to natural disasters, severe weather, and climate change; and 
  • Administrative and Planning activities
